God who breaks all watches

God who breaks all watches,
who is the life of the world,
the bug in the operating system,
the crick in the neck,
the distraction in the story,
the tears in the temple,
the baby in the bathwater rushes,
let me love you beyond all reason.
Turn reality into poetry,
make me nobody again,
pour your spirit into the machinery
until every spark sizzles.
Blow your life into this clay
even if it fizzles.
